I have to say that Cameron has been a HUGE help the last few days. He’s worked his butt off running up and down the stairs for me and has not complained a single time. I could not have gotten nearly as much done if it had not been for his help.

With that said, I am now going to go pass out on the couch. I’m exhausted.

Moving… sucks.

The apartment that I’m leaving is upstairs. The parking lot is around the corner and about 30 yards away. I’ve never really seen that as a problem till now. One trip to the car after another after another after another.

I hurt my knee awhile ago. The left tendon on the back of my left knee starts to ache a little after taking the stairs a few times. After taking the stairs 20+ times for two days in a row and it ache’s a lot more than a little. :< But… I’m well over half done. Just the big stuff left. *sigh* And off I go to move more.

I had one of those ‘self actualizaton’ moments yesterday. I had become *really* unmotivated and pretty depressed the last week or two. Then yesterday after a long talk with Amber and my mom I’m feeling a lot better.

Then I talked to Ben for quite awhile last night and we talked about an actual date to move up there… jobs… school for Cassidy. He really made me remember all the reasons that this move is going to be so wonderful for my life. I haven’t seen him in almost two weeks and probaby won’t get to see him this weekend because I’ll be really busy cleaning all the apartement for the walk through. But everything I am doing right now, moving out of the apt, throwing away all the stuff from what feels like a past life, is bringing me one step closer to him. And that excites me.

So this morning I woke up with a whole new motivation. Threw away three more bags of stuff and packed more stuff. Tomorrow I’ll get to use my moms car so I’ll be able to start actually moving stuff out. I’m on a roll now. Motivated, driven, excited.

San Jose here I come.

Man… Ben was really, really, really sick this weekend. Bad headache, threw up… He had whatever nasty bug it was that Cassidy had a few weeks ago. I felt so helpless. I wanted to make him feel better but figured the best thing to do was leave him alone and let him get some rest.

So I helped my mom grout the tile in Camerons room and the front room. And that was WAY more work than I thought I was getting myself into. So Sunday we went to eat breakafast with my mom and just laid around and I tried to do whatever I could to make Ben feel better.

Well, June 19th seems to be the soonest date for court. I’d like to be able to do it sooner but as long as I can see it in the near future I’m not going to complain.

Going to help my mom lay tile this weekend. Can you feel the excitement? 😉 Really though, it wasn’t that bad last weekend and now that it’s going down it’s looking pretty good. She seems excited about it so I don’t mind helping her out.

My poor Ben is sick. Don’t know if I’ll get to see him or not this weekend. I miss him like mad but I hate to think of him on the road when he’s not feeling well. We’ll see.

Have a good weekend everybody!

I find out today when my court date is for the final divorce proceeding. The sooner the better in my opinion. I am so ready for this chapter of my life to be closed so I can fully immerse myself into the next.

Spent last weekend with my dad. Had a wonderful time. Hopefully he will send me pics (hint, hint ;)) and I’ll do a full update as soon as I can.

Cassidy has been sick since Sunday evening. Mon-Wed. it was a runny nose and coughing. And very, very little sleep. Thrusday she seemed fine so I took her to school at 9 and at 10 the teacher was calling telling me to come pick her up, she’d throw up. So she threw up, and threw up, and threw up. Finally for the last time at about 4am this morning. She has my keen ability to dehydrate in a matter of hours. (I had two hospital stints around her age for dehydration). Cassidy has gotten dehydrated about three times. This time I forced enough Pedialyte down her to float an aircraft carrier. She hates me now… One of the joys of being mommy.

On top of this, my power has been going on and off. 6 times in three days. Usually at night. It’s been way to hot in the house so I’ve been at my moms the last two nights.

So Cassidy is fine now. Eating soupy and jello like substances.

*sigh* What a week. I love having my mom around at times like this. She keeps me from getting all ‘over protective’ mother syndrome. Gonna really miss being able to run to her when Cassidy is sick or the dang power won’t stay on.

I can’t believe how awsome E3 was. It was like and attack on all the senses at once that you could just not get enough of. Some of the games that we got to see were just breath taking.

For the first time, I got to see some actual game play video of Doom 3. The attention to detals such as sound and lighting in the game are fantastic. It’s going to be one of those games that you have to play at night with all the lights off and the volume turned way up. This game was getting a lot of attention and people walking by the display would become mezmerized in the video preview.

Ben and I both really wanted to see the Half Life 2 preview but unfortunately ATI were being Nazi’s about it and you had to wait in a HUGE line to watch it in a personal viewing room. And we were both feeling a little uneasy walking around the ATI booth with Nvidia badges on so we decided to skip it. Which is really okay because you can see the same video now that they were showing there on Fileplanet. The video is 25 minutes long and 600MB. I’m uploading it to my site as we speak so you don’t have to wait in a 60 minute line to get it at Fileplanet. I’ll update this as soon as I have it.

They had an entire section set up for the N-Gage… and it was totally dead. There did not seem to be too many people there and the poor guys that ran the booth were standing around with nothing to do. We opted to eat insetad of checking them out. 🙂 The boys at Penny Arcade spent some time playing them and they seemed less than impressed.

I have to say that the best booth, hands down, was the UBI Soft booth. They had an abundance of units set up to play all the latest and greatest games on as well as a HUGE LCD screen showing video of all the newest games they had coming out. I think we stood there for about 30 minutes watching it. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six 3 and Ghost Recon look spectacular to say the least. And they have a game called XIII coming out that had a comic book feel to it that looks like it is going to be some fun to play.

The newest Gran Turismo game had a pretty cool set up. They had Recaro like race seats set up with the console attached to them. There were four seats in the center that were set up to LAN and an announcer there to make fun of you if you were losing. They also had about 10 other seats set up in a circle around them that you could play single player games. We sat and watched them for awhile looking for something that set it apart from Gran Turismo 3 and we really could not see anything. But we did not play them ourselves so…

I, as well as Ben, really wanted to visit the Atari booth for the UT2004 demo but to both our dismay we could not find it. It was not in the map book, in the list of vendors… I did however read this review and now could kick myself in the ass for not finding it. But the place was huge, we visited three different wings of the Staples Center and did not see it anywhere. :-< Anyway, there is so much more that I could go into. As a matter of fact, I could go on all night. It was serioulsy so much more than I expected. Hopefully this will not be my last trip. Next year I think that I’d go a day earlier so that I could spend a little more time playing the games and exploring everything. That will have to do for this year though. Thank you so much to Ben and to Nvidia for the chance to go this year.
