When I get to work it’s 6:00AM. Still dark. When I wake up it’s about 7:00AM. So there’s an hour in there where things happen that I should probably know about and don’t. And things happen that make me wake up instantly and want to shoot myself in the foot… like on Monday when I closed my hatch onto my cell phone and shattered both the inside and outide LCD so that I can’t see the time, who’s calling, phone numbers, alarm settings, etc. It was like somebody had cut off my right arm. No, it was worse than that because then at least I could blame somebody else for the STUPID move.

After I threw up a few times and said my weekly quota of ‘fucks’ and ’shits’ I went inside, put on my headphones, sat at my desk and pretended to work. It’s amazing how dependent you become on a little tiny piece of technology. I knew I needed a new phone right away so I started looking at he one I’ve been eyeing for awhile, the Mototorla Razr V3. I looked around for the cheapest place to get it. Even on Ebay it was just under $300. For a phone. Ugh.

Ben saw that if we renewed our Cingular contract we could get the phone for $200. Score. We go to Cingular that evening (Despite the fact I have a fever and feel nausious. Yes, it’s THAT important to me.) and talk to a girl there about getting that done. She tells us that we can’t upgrade our phones till November 18th. A month away. Ben asks if there is a way we can get that overriden. We are resigning another year long contract and it’s ONLY a month away. She tells us only her supervisor can do that but she’ll go ask him. When she returns she tells us he doens’t think there is anything he can do but he’ll be with us anyway in a few minutes.

So we wait a few minutes and out of the back of the store comes the manager visibly annoyed and stomping up to the counter where we were standing and:

Manager: I told her there’s nothing I can do. I can’t over ride it. What do you want me to do?
Ben and I: *shocked and silent for a second*
Manager: I mean, you can all customer service but that’s the only way.
Ben: Okay, that was of no help to me. That’s exactly what she said.
Manager: *shrugs* Well, you can call them.
Ben: What you have told me has been of no help. *starts to walk out*
Me: *follows Ben*
Manager: *tries to save the sale* Well, you can call them from here and I can take care of it.
Ben: You have been no help.
Me: *as I walk out the door, LOUDLY* Aparently customer service doens’t mean anything to them here.
Ben: *loudly* I guess not!

Before he got the whole way to the car (maybe 20 feet away) Ben turned around and headed back inside to ge the managers name. He was already in the back probably shoveling more food into his fat face.

We came home and after phone calls, and internet browsing and more nausea, we headed to T-Mobile. I’ve wanted a Sidekick for probably close to a year and a half but never dreamed, ever, that I’d have one. Ever.

When we got to T-Mobile there was a CHAIR for me to sit in… and Phu, our salesman, was AWSOME. We got the sidekick AND two accessories for LESS than what the Razr would have been. AND I HAVE A SIDEKICK!!

I haven’t put the thing down in two days. I feel like crap. My head is pounding, I’m feverish.. BUT I HAVE A SIDEKICK! I HAVE A SIDEKICK! I HAVE A SIDEKICK!

I’m once again becoming addicted to City of Heroes. I like my new Hero. She’s a tanker. And she’s cute. And she can take on 10 men all attacking her and walk away with all her endurance and most of her life. Basically, she kicks ASS!

Unfortunately, like my healer, she can’t solo. I need a good damage dealer to dish it out while I have the baddies aggro’d and attacking me.

*counts down the time for Ben to get home so we can play*

We have tickets for a 12:10AM showing. I am so excited it’s slighty embarrassing. Well, more than slightly… really. Of course the girls here at work didn’t even KNOW it was coming out today. *shakes head*

Anyway, after work I’m gonna swing by Hot Topic and pick up a tshirt to wear. I have a feeling if one of us doens’t have SOMETHING on we’re likely to get jumped by a battalion of storm troopers. There better be people there in full garb or I will be really disappointed.

That was a starwars quote, the correct response would have been to quote something starwars back to me, I’ll need another response, this one doesn’t qualify.

I have in fact conferred with the judges and we have come to the agreement that you can not in fact use ONE WORD from a Star Wars “quote” and then call your answer a “quote” when the entire quote was not quoted correctly.

The correct quote would have been: “Why, you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy looking nerf-herder!”

City of Heroes has a respec mission. You have to save the reactor (MUCH harder than it counds) from about 10 waves of bad guys that increase in number and skill. And that’s AFTER you complete two prior missions. IT’s tough.

We got to the LAST wave of guys and my poor team died. Except for me but I’m a healer and rarely draw aggro. So.. sucks. The respec allows you to completely redo all your powers and I’m REALLY needing to do that. I have no endurance building powers or stealth powers. This was the first character I built and I really didn’t know any better at the time. But now that I’m level 27 I’m realizing that I am more than lacking in a few areas.

The team that I palyed with tonight was AMAZING. I’ve never had a team so coordinated, useful and FUNNY!! We are going to meet back up at 8:00PM tomorrow night to try it again with a tanker that can draw more aggro so we have a better chance at the reactor.

I’ve been drooling over this shirt for about a year now but I don’t like that it has the www.oreilly.com URL on the back. I have a bunch of that iron on printer paper and I’ve made Cassidy shirts before… I think I’ll print the words out and make my own shirt this weeked.

I think while I’m at it I might also make the ‘I love my geek’ shirt too.

On a completely unrelated narcissistic note, I made a new avatar tonight because I was bored and my little brother tried to convince me that EVERYBODY looks better ‘goth’ this week. :screwy: Anyway, I did play with hue/saturation a little but DAMN my eyes look blue!

I got Sims2 today. Looks cool so far. I spent about an hour creating ONE character. I’ll start actually playing tomorrow. I’m excited. I don’t know though how I’m going to juggle City of Heroes AND Sims!!

If I wasn’t so menstral I’d play more tonight. I’m just so tired and moody and crampy and tired and… screw ovaries.

What do I have to show for the weekend? Hmm…

I leveled my primary City of Heroes character to 22. Started a new one that’s an archtype and power combination that I’ve wanted to try for awhile to level 8. Did 5 loads of laundry. Watched all three Star Wars movies (Episodes 4, 5 & 6) with Cassidy. She’s all Star Wars fanatic right now. Mini Geek.

Ummmm… let’s see. Yeah, that’s about it. Back to the grind tomorrow.
