Change of scenery..

Well, both the desks are in the living room next to the sliding glass door. As I write this there is a nice cool breeze blowing, crickets chirping and I can hear the wind blowing through the leaves… nice.

Getting the desks in here and all set up, not so nice. It took us about three hours. All the living room furniture is just kinda hanging out in the middle of the room becuase we don’t know quite how we are going to situate it yet.

And the bedroom… OMG the bedroom. It’s absolutely mind-boggling what LIVES under a desk. Little balls of hair and pens and 5-year-old toys and little creatures with sharp teeth. Tomorrow after work is going to be spent doing a deep, hard, thorough cleaning of the bedroom. I can hardly wait! <--- sarcasm. I guess it's for the best though. My mom will be coming to stay with us next Thursday through Sunday to interview for a job up here. She's moing up here and I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about that. Anyway, my mom coming means the house must be SPOTLESS. UGH. I know I was supposed to post about the fact that I'm like having a nervous breakdown over my birthday and thinking that maybe the Dr should increase my dose of the happy drug, but it'll have to wait yet again. After moving this damn thing to the living room it's gonna get some damn use... In other words, I'm going to go play City of Heroes. I haven't played in TWO DYS and I'm starting to have cold sweats and other nasty withdrawl symptoms. Dammit, I need to play some Doom3 I just have SO much time invested into this damn character to stop now. Anyway, I'm starting to ramble, off with me!

1st grader

Cassidy started first grade today. She also lost her second tooth last week. All this is causing me to have serious “I’m f-in old”‘ issues. The fact that my 26th birthday is 11 days away is not helping… at all.

I’ll post more about it tomorrow. Ben’s in bed and looking all cuddly and stuff… that is after we move our desks out of the bedroom and into the living room. More on that tomorrow too.

Weeeee…

I added a ‘current mood’ plugin to WordPress but modified it so that it will just be a little extension of the title. I found some really cute smilies today so I decided to put them to use. I’m sure you will get the idea! 🙂

Tennis kicked my ass tonight. The good news is that even though I lost 0-6, we deuced in three of the games and once we deuced like 4 times before Ben finally scored on me!

Hmmm

Allow me to expound on what I said before…

If I know you, you have posted at my blog PRIOR to yesterday, I post on YOUR blog, we’ve talked in the past, we maybe post on the same message boards or blogs… I’m giving out G~mail invites.

If we’ve never talked before or I didn’t know that you exicted before yesterday, you aren’t getting one… or three for that matter.

Thank you, have a good day.

I lied.

It’s getting sore now. The numbing stuff must have still been working.

*goes to take a Tylenol*

BTW – I have six G~mail invites if anybody wants one, let me know.

Procedure

I had the mole removed today. They cut a chunck of flesh an inch long and about 1/4 inch wide and 1/4 inch deep out of my breast.

All and all it went very well. They numbed it, cleaned it… and the actual cutting part took about two minutes and I didn’t feel a thing. Then they cauterized it (burning flesh smells NASTY!!), and stitched it up.. LOTS of stitches. That took about 15 minutes and I was all done. It felt so weird for my whole BREAST to be numb.

The best part… I can’t even feel it. I thought after cutting, burning then sewing my breast I would like, you know, hurt a little. I feel absolutley no pain at all. And I was asking for pain medication. He said no and now that I realize there’s no pain I bet he probably thinks I’m a pain pill fiend!! HA!

The only complaint I have now is the smell. It still smells like Iodine. I think it got into the gauze. It smells rather rank. After tennis I’m gonna take the majority of the gauze off and put new layers on it and hopefully that will go away.

I feel like such an idiot for being so worried about it. I didn’t worry this much when I knew I was goiug to give birth to a child, or when I got the tattoo, or my belly piered but I’ve been dwelling on this stupid ‘procedure’ for almost a week now. 😳

Dammit

I hit killed a little squirrel with my car today. He ran out of the bush and I swerved to miss him (there were no other cars around) but the little thing stopped instead of continuing the direction he was going.. the front tires missed him but the back… Well, the back was dead on. Pardon the disgusting pun. My car is so heavy that I didn’t feel it. But I… heard it. *starts to feel sick again*

I’m a horrible human.

*sulks*

As seen on the WWW

Ben found this little gem. If you have Gmail and don’t have this installed already.. GET IT!

The Gmail Notifier is a downloadable Windows application that alerts you when you have new Gmail messages. It displays an icon in your system tray to let you know if you have unread Gmail messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without your having to open a web browser.

Also, check this out. Just because it’s one of those things you have to see: click. (Make use you watch the whole thing. The mind blowing part is at the end.) I’d actually try to learn this if I didn’t hang up everything. heh

There’s Content!!

Layout page is updated. As well as the colophon. I also added the most recent survey’s I could find to that page. I then made a few changes to the links page so that you don’t have to scroll quite as much as well as adding a few people who should have been added a long time ago! (BTW – Adria and Kristen, I made you some buttons because every girl needs a button… or something. Feel free to use them if you’d like. ;))

I am SO ready to buy the new domain… as soon as I come up with a name I don’t hate. I’m not making a whole lot of progress. If anybody has any idea’s NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO GIVE THEM!!
