Sickness

I felt like absolute hell yesterday. My head hurt so bad I could not even think straight. Ben, Cassidy and I are all sick at the same time so there is nobody to baby me!

Anyway, I felt better last night and Ben and I got to bed early. We were in bed at like 9 which is WAY early for us. We talked for quite awhile, fought over blankets… we had not really had a lot of alone time lately because I’ve been working such crazy hours. It was really nice. 🙂

ugh…

So umm, yeah… Work is kicking my ass. I used to run cross country for Christ’s sake. After eight hour on my feet I’m ready to pass out and die. I need to start using the gym here at the apartement complex. Some of that might have to do with the fact that I’m getting sick. I can barely breathe through my nose, my head POUNDED all day. But hey, I sold a crap load of ink today! HA!

Change…

So yeah, I didn’t like that baby blue. It’s great for a desktop but just wasn’t doing it for me as a layout so I played with it a bit in Photoshop. 🙂

Work today from 1:30 to 10:00. I’m going to crash when I get home because I have to be back at work at 9:45 Saturday, then 8:00 on Sunday for a training session followed by the full 8 hour day.

*sigh* So, I’m off.

Update

Cassidy seems to be much better tonight. Ben said that she slept a lot today. She has a VERY small fever (about 99). I think that she should be fine for school tomorrow. Right now she’s asleep in the fort we built in the living room. It’s her new favorite place to sleep.

Things like last night remind me how special life is. I know that seems extreme but even if for 1/1000th of a second you have the horrible feeling that something is really wrong with you child, you realize how little things like giggles and smiles and whispy hair and reading silly books and singing silly songs in the car… Well, you realize how simply uncomplete and boring your life would be without it.

I hugged her a little tighter tonight…

Emergency

So we ended up at the Emergency Room last night at 10:45 with Cassidy having a temperature of 102.6. I was really scared by that. 45 minutes after we got there and WELL over and hour after Tylenol AND Advil, it had only gone down to 101.5. We finally saw the doctor around 2:00am. There is no sign of infection (a few kids from her school had to go home with Strep Throat), not too much puss, her nodes were not that big. They think she just has a virus but they cultured her throat so by tomorrow we should know for sure. 🙁

She’s asleep right now but does not feel THAT warm to me. She has a slight fever I think but nothing to wake her up over.

Ben is going to stay home with her today because I have to work from 9:30 to 6:00. He pretty much was my glue and my rock last night. When I realized she was that warm, she had started coughing which was causing her some pretty severe pain. Breathing out would make her cough, cough would cause her pain… so she was holding her breath for 10-15 seconds at a time and it seemed like she could not breathe. As a parent, that tends to really freak you out.

Ben calmly said, put her in the bath and we’ll take her to the Emergency Room. So I did, and we did and I can’t express enough how much it meant to me last night or how much it means to me today that he is willing and going to take care of her.

Thank you, Ben…

Sick

Cassidy came home from school talking funny. Now she’s in bed coughing this nasty dry cough. She woke up a little while ago with a fever and everytime she cough’s she’s in pain. 🙁 I gave her some Advil, she won’t let me spray Chloriseptic (SP) in her throat even though I offered to do it first to show her it would not hurt. I told her that she needs to drink a lot of water. I have a feeling it’s going to be a long night… 🙁

New Layout

So it’s up. I know there are broken links here and there. I know that sucks ————->
For some reason CSS was not agreeing with me and would just not read the scrollbar color crap. I think that I’m just too tired to deal with it right now and am probably missing something really simple.

I do like the bubble’s though. This has been a desktop that I’ve used on and off for years now and I never get tired of it. Hope ya like it, I’m going to bed. G’night!
